This bright and colorful original lithograph is typical of Cathelin's sober and elegant style. Very popular in Europe and Japan, his work is greatly influenced by Henri Matisse and exalts the ultimate search for beauty in art. Cathelin was adamant that art should bring grace and joy to the viewers. Ref: Sauret 183.
