Collection: Francisco de Goya
(1746-1828) Spanish
Francoise de Goya is considered to be one of the most important Spanish artists of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Goya’s work embodies Romanticism’s emphasis on subjectivity, imagination, and emotion. The subjects of his work range from dreamlike to grotesque, documentary to imaginary, and humorous to harshly satirical. Goya is known as the last of the Old Masters and the first of the Moderns.
