This rare and beautiful original lithographic poster in 10 colors was created for two exhibitions by Serge Poliakoff at the Knoedler Gallery and at the Berggruen Gallery in Paris in 1959. Both galleries were located on the Rue des Capucines.
Upon returning to Paris, after studying in London in the 1930's, Poliakoff kept painting in a figurative style. However, after meeting Kandinsky and the Delaunays, he developed his singular method and eventually became a leading abstract painter in the Ecole de Paris.
