This original lithographic poster was designed by well known French artist Bernard Buffet for an exhibition of landscape paintings at the Galerie Maurice Garnier, Paris in 1983. Two different states were produced as a limited and signed editions, but it was the second state that was chosen for this moody and romantic view of the lighthouse in Guilvinec, a fishing town in Western Brittany, France.

Bernard Buffet often spent weekends and vacations in Brittany and the French Atlantic coast, where he found inspiration in its simple architecture, green landscapes and unpredictable seas.
