This lithograph was reproduced after a painting by Raoul Dufy entitled "L'Atelier" from 1940. The original painting was acquired by noted French textile industrialist and art collector Pierre Levy. It was later donated to the Musee d'Art Moderne de Troyes, France, where it remains. This beautiful and colorful lithograph was produced as part of a portfolio to celebrate the Levy collection and the Mourlot studio was approached to handle the printing by Mourlot Master Printer Charles Sorlier who had worked closely with Dufy during his lifetime. The image represents the artist in his studio located at No 5 Impasse de Guelma, in the famous district of Montmartre, Paris.
From the album: The collection of Pierre Levy. Ed. 1000. Mourlot Publisher.
