This wonderful lithographic and photographic poster was created as a mixed media to promote an exhibition of Jacques Prévert's surrealist and symbolistic collages at the Chateau Grimaldi in Antibes in 1963. Picasso came to the opening himself and there is a wonderful interview of the poet in the French Archives online here:

This was a small edition of 500 and about 15 printed on Arches (signed and unsigned). The original collage in still in the Archives of The Mourlot Collection and dedicated to Fernand Mourlot.
The photograph below is of Pablo Picasso and Prévert on the beach in Vallauris reviewing the poster before lettering. The photograph was take by Robert Doisneau, the famous photographer. (Robert Doisneau, 1963, All Rights Reserved.)
