This original lithograph by Bernard Buffet, is a proof from the portfolio "Venise", illustrating a text by the writer Annabel Buffet, his wife and muse, as an homage to the incomparably beautiful city of Venice.

This project was published by Buffet's long time gallerist and publisher, Maurice Garnier. Ten original color lithographs were included in each of the portfolios, as well as another suite of black and white versions in thirty deluxe sets. All the prints were produced by Bernard Buffet on the presses of the Atelier Mourlot, Paris and completed in 1986. 

Edition of 185 of which only 30 portfolios contain the black and white versions. Ref. Sorlier 489
